Newport Restaurant Group Expands Restaurants into Kent County

Newport, RI - June 1, 2010 - Newport Restaurant Group, a division of Newport Harbor Corporation (NHC), is pleased to announce that its newest restaurant, Hemenway's Dockside Dining, located in the former Table 28 space on East Greenwich's waterfront, will be open for business in mid-June, just in time for the summer season.

Hemenway's Dockside Dining is the ninth Newport Restaurant Group eatery and joins a lineup stretching from coast-to-coast in Rhode Island including Newport-based: Castle Hill Inn, a Relais & Chateaux property; 22 Bowen's Wine Bar & Grille, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, The Smokehouse Café; as well as the Waterman Grille on Providence's Seekonk River, Hemenway's on the Providence River, The Boat House on Tiverton's Mount Hope Bay and Trio near Narragansett's beaches.

"East Greenwich is a natural location for our company's expansion," said Ken Cusson, Newport Restaurant Group New Business Development Director. "Many of our restaurants are situated along the waterfront in the state, and one area we haven't explored is in Kent County. We're hoping residents who might not have tried our other properties will make this location their year-round favorite."

As part of the 175-seat restaurant, which offers indoor and outdoor dining, Newport Restaurant Group has also leased space in the 85-slip East Greenwich Marina. "Similar to The Mooring in Newport, we'll have the ability to offer our boating guests a great meal just steps from their dock," continued Cusson. "And, we'll also offer on-board service for those who wish to order from the convenience of their boat."

Hemenway's Dockside Dining will maintain the high quality and standards of all Newport Restaurant Group restaurants, using only the freshest ingredients, organic when available, and buying from local farmers and purveyors.

Under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Steve Long of Hemenway's Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar in Providence, Hemenway's Dockside Dining will offer guests a similar menu to its legendary counterpart in the capital city, but in a decidedly more casual way to fit the waterfront location. "Our focus is on providing excellent seafood infused with the local flavor palate," said Casey Riley, Chief Operating Officer. "We'll still provide the same level of culinary excellence and quality, but with a much more casual presentation to suit the location."

Leading the management team is Shawn Westhoven, General Manager of The Mooring in Newport. Shawn will ensure that Hemenway's Dockside Dining encompassed Newport Restaurant Group's standards of service and overall guest experience.

Hemenway's Dockside Dining is scheduled to open for dinner Mondays - Sundays, and for lunch and dinner Fridays - Sunday.
