Headline: The Competition is Hotter than Ever at the Upcoming 29th Annual Knorr Great Chowder Cook-Off!
Body:
WHAT:
The kick-off to summer in Newport is back! Now with a new title sponsor, the Knorr Great Chowder Cook-Off allows soup lovers to enjoy endless samples of chowder prepared by creative chefs from across the nation, each perfecting a recipe to take on all challengers in the ultimate quest for chowder glory. This year, all of your local favorites, as well as our 2009 Chowder Champions, will be competing for bragging rights in 2010. That’s right, crowd-pleasers Tony’s Cedar Key Clam Chowder (Cedar Key, FL), Blue Mermaid Chowder House (San Francisco, CA), and Michael’s Seafood (Carolina Beach, NC) all hope to defend their coveted titles and keep new up-and-comers, including Tracy’s King Crab Shack from Juneau, Alaska, at bay. Restaurants are competing for cash-clams in three categories: Clam, Seafood, and Creative, as well as a panel-judged Clam Cake competition. New in 2009 was our "Most Spirited" award, given to the people's choice of the best team on the block in any category - The Barking Crab! So drop by and cast your vote for your favorite chowder, as the power is in your spoon (and taste buds) to name this year's winners!

But it's not just about the chowdah' - we've got three stages of live entertainment, including the Ravers and Buddy’s Beach House, who are sure to knock your seafood-lovin' socks off.   Paired with a healthy helping of children's crafts and activities, this is one festival that landlubbers can rejoice in, too!
