Award-Winning Restaurants Present Holiday Specials
Newport, RI - March 24, 2010- Newport Restaurant Group, a division of Newport Harbor Corporation, is pleased to announce that its restaurants, Castle Hill Inn & Resort, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, 22 Bowen's Wine Bar & Grille, Hemenway's, the Boat House, and Waterman Grille, will be celebrating Easter with a selection of holiday specialties.
Castle Hill Inn & Resort, located at 590 Ocean Drive in Newport, will feature an elegant Easter brunch, beginning with a Little Rhody Egg Frittata amuse, featuring Narragansett Creamery ricotta cheese, asparagus, and a red pepper vinaigrette, followed by a choice of appetizers, including New England Seafood Boudin with pickled spring onion, gremolata, and brioche toast; Spring Onion Soup with native lobster and tarragon crème fraiche; and an Antipasto of cured and smoked meats, spring vegetables, olives, Atwell's Gold Cheese, and Bristol Bakery bread.
The Buffet will feature a carving station with Hereford Beef Rib Eye with au jus and horseradish cream, Colorado Lamb Top Round with a mustard seed demi glace; and Berkshire Ham with a Vermont maple glaze. Additional buffet items will include traditional Eggs Benedict with hollandaise, Spiced French Toast with bourbon-banana syrup, Seafood Paella, and Murray's All-Natural Chicken with chourico-potato ragout and spring peas, all accompanied by golden potato au gratin, roasted asparagus, spring vegetable succotash, and Gruyere macaroni and cheese. A selection of cakes, tarts, pies, and pastries will complete the meal.
Castle Hill will serve its full menu from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with Easter brunch served from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The cost of the brunch is $70.00 for adults; $25.00 for children twelve and under. At The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, located on Sayer's Wharf in Newport, in addition to the restaurant's regular menu of top-of-catch seafood, prime cuts of beef, and locally grown, organic produce, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of menu specials, including Spring Frittata with farm fresh eggs, grilled asparagus, grape tomatoes, and asiago cheese; Smoked Salmon Salad: house smoked salmon, baby spinach, chopped egg, fried capers, shaved red onion, tomato, bagel crisps, and chive-cream cheese dressing; Rack of Lamb, mint-roasted and garlic rubbed and served with red Himalayan rice pilaf, spring onion, and lamb jus lie; Hill Farms Roasted Ham with sautéed string beans, herb roasted fingerling potatoes, and a honey-citrus glaze. Trio, located at 15 Kingstown Road in Narragansett, will serve offer a special Easter buffet, including stationary displays of Spring Vegetable Frittata; Smoked Salmon with red onion, chopped, egg, lemon-caper aioli, and mini bagels; and a Salad Bar with sliced cured meats, domestic cheeses, mesculin greens, vegetables, and a choice of dressing. The buffet will feature such breakfast specialties as Challah French Toast with vanilla butter and toasted pecans and TRIO Scrambled Eggs with cheddar and fontina cheeses accompanied by applewood bacon and breakfast sausage, while lunch items will include Baked Scrod with lemon-thyme crumbs, Braised Lamb Shank with white bean ragout, and Roasted Pork Loin with wild mushroom gravy, enjoyed with baked four cheese penne, South County succotash, grilled asparagus, roasted potatoes, and rice pilaf. Brunch concludes with a dessert station featuring chocolate cake, carrot cake, lemon tart, mini vanilla crème brulee, and vanilla cupcakes. Main courses will include Challah Bread French Toast in cinnamon batter with honey-pecan butter and warm Vermont maple syrup; Omelets and Eggs Cooked to Order, including farm fresh eggs, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, bacon, ham, and assorted cheeses; Sole Roulade stuffed with crabmeat and served with a tomato-lemon beurre blanc; Wood-Fired Statler Chicken Breast with natural jus lie; and a carving station featuring Braised Leg of Lamb, Baked Budda Ball Ham, and Pepper-Encrusted Top Round with honey Dijon, golden raisin sauce, and mint jelly.
