Newport, RI - February 1, 2010- Newport Restaurant Group, a division of Newport Harbor Corporation, is pleased to announce that its restaurants, Castle Hill Inn & Resort, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, 22 Bowen's Wine Bar & Grille, Hemenway's, the Boat House, and Waterman Grille, will be celebrating Valentine's Day with a selection of holiday specialties.

Castle Hill Inn & Resort, located at 590 Ocean Drive in Newport, will feature a four-course prix fixe menu, beginning with New England Seafood Boudin with chervil-parsley puree, shaved shallots, and saffron foam, followed by a choice of second courses, including Broken Arrow Ranch Antelope Carpaccio with trumpet mushrooms, huckleberry, peppercress, croutons, and mustard vinaigrette; Matunuck Oysters, half-shelled with champagne sorbet and blood orange mignonette; and Hawaiian Blue Prawns with a red currant-chile glaze, vegetable dumpling, and shellfish consommé.

Main courses include a choice of Red Snapper, skillet-roasted and served with sweet potato-plantain pastry, pepper relish, and grapefruit vinaigrette; Pheasant Roulade, pan-roasted and served with Meyer lemon fettuccini, arugula, cipollini onion, and Madeira reduction; and a roasted rack of Elysian Farms Lamb with walnut-chevre crust, mustard greens, and braised lamb-vegetable pie.

Dinner concludes with a choice of orange blossom-scented Crème Fraiche Panna Cotta with strawberry consommé, vanilla genoise, and rose petal or Chocolate Banana Pastry: bruleed banana, Meyer's rum ice cream, salted caramel, and macadamia nut brittle, followed by a tasting of New England fudge.

The cost of the four-course menu will be $95.00 per person and includes a glass of Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rosé and live jazz from Dick Lupino from 6:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Tax and gratuity are additional.   Overnight packages are also available for Valentine's Day, and include  one-night luxury accommodations, the romantic four-course dinner for two, a bottle of Champagne and flowers in-room upon arrival, a special welcome gift in room upon arrival, gourmet breakfast in the morning overlooking Narragansett Bay, and exclusive guest only afternoon tea.  Packages begin at $805.51. At The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, located on Sayer's Wharf in Newport, in addition to the restaurant's regular menu of top-of-catch seafood, prime cuts of beef, and locally grown, organic produce, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of menu specials, including a Duo of Treaty Rock Beef: beef tartare with whole grain mustard sauce and a pan-fried quail egg and beef short rib strudel with balsamic reduction and caramelized onion puree; a Seafood Tasting: oyster on the half shell with pickled jalapenos and balsamic granite and shrimp chicharones: crispy fried rock shrimp with sweet and spicy yellow pepper sauce; Duck & Lobster: pan-seared duck breast, duck confit potato hash, butter poached lobster and cherry BBQ sauce; and Grilled Flounder with artichoke and spinach risotto, herb roasted shallots, and banyuls vinegar reduction.  For more information or to make a reservation, please call 401-846-2260 or visit www.mooringrestaurant.com.

Trio, located at 15 Kingstown Road in Narragansett, will serve its full dinner menu as well as a romantic four-course prix fixe Valentine's Day menu, which begins with a Dou of Soups: carrot ginger bisque with brown butter poached lobster and wild mushroom truffle soup with a goat cheese crostini, followed by an intermezzo of a Raspberry Bellini.  The entrée will feature a Duo of Filets: a bacon-wrapped 5 oz filet with shrimp risotto cake, wilted baby arugula, and lemon thyme beurre blanc and a bacon-wrapped 5 oz filet with potato galette, braised Swiss chard, seared Georges Bank scallops and a red wine demi glace. Dinner concludes with a tasting of Sweet Treats: chocolate semifreddo, red velvet woo pie, and chocolate truffle cake.  The cost of the four-course prix fixe is $74.00 per couple; tax and gratuity are additional. 22 Bowen's Wine Bar & Grille, located at 22 Bowen's Wharf in Newport, will offer a selection Valentine's Day specials in addition to its regular menu of USDA Prime beef and New England's finest seafood, including a broiled 8 oz Hereford Filet & Grilled Lobster Tail with whipped duchess potato, smoked shitake vinaigrette, and Farming Turtles micro greens and a dessert of Champagne Macerated Berries & Toasted Pound Cake with strawberry coulis and whipped cream. Waterman Grille, located at 4 Richmond Square in Providence, will feature a special five-course Valentine's Day dinner in addition to its full menu, beginning with shared appetizers of Crab Crakes, Poached Shrimp, and Szewaun Beef Skewers, followed by a choice of Carrot & Ginger Soup with pear-applewood bacon compote and Confit Duck Salad: wild arugula, dried cranberries, confit duck, toasted pistachios, and sweet balsamic vinaigrette.

An interlude of Raspberry Sorbet with prosecco and fresh mint will lead into the evening's entrée, which will feature a choice of Lobster Crepe: cold-water lobster, fresh crepe, chevre-sweet potato, grilled asparagus, micro green salad, and tomato-lemon-tarragon beurre blanc or  a Beef Duet: espresso rubbed- wood fired tenderloin, short rib mole, fresh pasta, and fried mushroom-micro green salad.

The Boat House, located at227 Schooner Drive in Tiverton, will offer a four-course prix fixe menu Friday, February 12th through Sunday, February 14th, in addition to its regular menu of fresh, local seafood, all natural beef, and organic produce, beginning with a complimentary glass of Nicolas Feulliatte Sparkling Rosé.  Dinner begins with Hors d'oeuvres to Share, tuna tartare with crispy wonton, baked Island Creek oysters with pancetta and Asiago cheese, tamarind barbecue Hereford beef with flat bread and blue cheese aioli, and stuffed baby Portobello mushrooms with squash, spinach, and truffle butter.

Entrées will feature a choice of Seafood Risotto with Maine lobster tail, Georges Bank scallops, white shrimp, saffron, tomato, sweet peas, and lobster nage; premium Hereford Beef Filet Mignon with roasted garlic-horseradish mashed potatoes, broccolini, and brandy cream sauce; pan-roasted Georges Bank Cod Loin with potato-leek puree, cider braised greens, tomato jam, and basil infused olive oil.

Dinner will conclude with Desserts to Share:  chocolate covered strawberries, Frangelico chocolate torte with candied kumquats, GaGa's lemon sherbetter with raspberry coulis, and butterscotch crème brûlée.
