Tiverton, RI - January 13, 2009 - The Boat House, located at 227 Schooner Drive in North Tiverton, RI, will host a Moët Hennessy Wine Dinner on Friday, January 29th. Melina Catelli, Trade Development Representative for Moët Hennessy, will lead guests through each selection of wine paired with an elegant four-course menu from Executive Chef James Campagna. A reception will begin at 6:30 pm; dinner will be served at 7:30 pm. The cost is $75.00 per person; tax and gratuity are additional. The evening will begin with a selection of hors d'oeuvres, including a tasting of Artisan Soft Cheese en Croute; an Oyster Duo: on the half shell with pomegranate granita and fried with grilled jalapeno puree; and Pulled Pork Spring Rolls with tamarind glaze, all served with the N/V Veuve Clicquot from Champagne, France, a blend of two-thirds black grapes (Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier) for body, balanced with one-third Chardonnay for elegance, lending a crisp, full flavor of apricot, peach, vanilla pastry and mineral, and rated a "91" by Wine Spectator.

Dinner will begin with Red Snapper en Papillote with quinoa, fennel, and citrus fruit, paired with the 2008 Château de Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre, France, featuring an intense and complex bouquet that combines floral notes with fruity aromas and a hint of rhubarb and a palate of orange and grapefruit.

The second course will feature Squash & Goat Cheese Cannelloni with yellowfoot chanterelle-black trumpet ragout, served with the 2006 Domaine Chandon Pinot Meunier from Napa Valley, California. Offering expressive aromas of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry jam with classic Pinot Meunier notes of brown spice, truffles and earth and mouth-filling flavors of huckleberries, cloves, and nutmeg.

The evening's entrée will be Braised Treaty Rock Short Ribs with smashed fingerling potatoes, broccolini, and dried Angelino plum demi, paired with the 2004 Marques de Griñon Caliza from Dominio de Valdepusa, Spain, a blend of 65% Syrah and 35% Graciano, featuring notes of lush raspberries and black cherries.

Dinner will conclude with Hazelnut Crepes with bittersweet chocolate ricotta cheese and candied kumquats, complemented by the delicate and understated blend of  Trebbiano and Malvasia of the 2003 Monsanto Vin Santo from Tuscany, Italy.
