Award-Winning Restaurants Present Mother's Day Specials
Newport, RI - April 29, 2009- Newport Restaurant Group, a
division of Newport Harbor Corporation, is pleased to announce that its
restaurants, Castle Hill Inn & Resort, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen &
Bar, 22 Bowen's Wine Bar & Grille, the Boat House, Trio, and Waterman
Grille, will offer a selection of Mother's Day specials.
Castle Hill Inn & Resort, located at 590 Ocean Drive
in Newport, will feature an elegant Mother's Day Brunch from 11:15 a.m. - 3:30
p.m. Brunch will start with a
selection of beginnings to include: Mushroom, Fava Bean, and Chevre Tart; Crab
Profiterole with preserved lemon marmalade; Falafel with assorted
accoutrements; Grilled Vegetable Antipasto; and Charcuterie of Sausage,
Terrine, and Pate.
The carving station will feature Hereford Beef Rib Eye
with Cabernet jus and horseradish cream; Rosemary Grilled Lamb Top Round with
mustard seed demi glace; and Maple-Brined and Roasted Pork Loin with
apricot-bourbon glaze, while the buffet will offer Traditional Eggs Benedict
with hollandaise; almond batter French Toast with blueberries; Maine Lobster
&Spring Pea Frittata; Shellfish Bouillabaisse; and Murray's Chicken with
lemon-caper butter and artichoke-sun dried tomato relish. Side dishes will
feature Warm Cous Cous Salad with roasted shallots, sweet peppers, and spinach;
Sweet Potato Puree with toasted pecan crumble; Sweet Garlic Roasted Asparagus;
and Spring Vegetable Succotash, while desserts will include a selection of
cakes, tarts, pies, and pastries.
The price is $65 per person, excludes tax and gratuity;

At The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, located on
Sayer's Wharf in Newport, in addition to the restaurant's regular menu of
top-of-catch seafood, premium cuts of beef, and locally grown, organic produce,
guests will be able to enjoy a three-course prix fixe menu. The prix fixe will begin with a choice
of Oysters Mooring with spinach, fennel, Asiago cream, and buttered crumb
topping or Seared Sea Scallops with parmesan spring pea risotto, and a balsamic
reduction. Second courses will
include Surf and Turf: grilled 6 oz Hereford filet and a pan seared lobster
cake, haricot vert, and traditional Béarnaise and Grilled Herbed Salmon with
lemon basil ricotta, roasted tomato, and rocket greens. Dessert will feature Toasted Pound Cake
with fresh strawberries and white chocolate mousse. The cost of the prix fixe is $40 per person; each dish will

22 Bowen's Wine Bar & Grille, located at 22 Bowen's
Wharf in Newport, will offer a selection of Mother's Day specials in addition
to its regular menu of USDA Prime beef and New England's finest seafood from
12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Specials
include Blackened Scallops with
spring vegetable risotto, wilted frisee, and port wine vinaigrette; a
Bacon-Wrapped Filet and Sweet Corn Lobster Cake served with sautéed spinach and
black pepper sherry cream sauce; and Lobster Salad with baby iceberg lettuce,
truffle lemon aioli, apple wood smoked bacon, slow roasted tomatoes, and

Waterman Grille, located at 4 Richmond Square in
Providence, will feature a special Mother's Day brunch, starting with a
selection of House Baked Goods including zucchini bread, carrot bread, coffee
cake, and croissants; Sliced Fresh Fruit; Artisan Cheeses with home baked
breads; Smoked Salmon with red onion capers, tomatoes, chopped eggs, assorted
bagels, and cream cheeses; and Shrimp Cocktail with Bloody Mary cocktail sauce.
Entrees feature French Toast: Challah bread, cinnamon
batter, honey-pecan butter, and warm Vermont maple syrup; Warm Berry Blintzes:
fresh berries and sweet mascarpone in a warm crepe; Boston Blue Cod with
tomato-lemon beurre blanc; pan-seared Salmon with braised lentils and
Pinot-coriander reduction; Chicken Roulade stuffed with prosciutto, smoked
gouda, and sage with Marsala reduction; and a carving station to include a
Baked Budda Ball Ham and Pepper-Encrusted Top Round with honey Dijon, golden
raisin sauce, and cabernet demi glace.
Brunch will conclude with miniature pastries, cookies,
biscotti, and assorted pies, cakes, and tarts. The price is $29.95 per person,

TRIO, located at 15 Kingstown Road in Narragansett, will
offer an elegant Mother's Day brunch, featuring stationary displays to include
Spring Vegetable Frittata; House Smoked Salmon with red onion, chopped egg,
lemon caper aioli, and mini bagels; a Salad Bar with sliced cured meats,
domestic cheeses, mesclun greens, and toppings; and a Pasta Bar with grilled
chicken, rock shrimp, and vegetables to be tossed with guests' choice of hand
crafted pastas and housemade sauces.
A carving station will feature Oven Roasted Beef Tenderloin with
rosemary-foraged mushroom gravy and Smoked Pork Loin with orange-chipotle
glaze, while the buffet will offer Eggs Benedict; Stuffed French Toast with
sweet cream filling and strawberry syrup; TRIO Scrambled Eggs: cheddar, fontina, and Pecorino Romano
cheeses; Oven Roasted Cod with a tomato- fennel Broth; and lemon-thyme brined
Whole Roasted Chicken. Brunch will
