Tiverton, RI - April 16, 2009 - The Boat House, located at 227 Schooner Drive in North Tiverton, RI, is pleased to present a selection of seasonally-inspired dishes for the spring from Executive Chef James Campagna, as well as new hours for the new season.  The Boat House is now open for lunch and dinner Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.; and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with brunch offered from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Al fresco dining is also available, weather permitting.  For more information, please call (401) 624-6300 or visit the website at www.boathousetiverton.com.


Starters feature the Chopped Salad: arugula, Serrano ham, avocado, ginger-spiked mango, toasted cashews, endive, and red chicory tossed with a tomatillo vinaigrette; Skirt Steak Tacos with chimichurri, Napa cabbage slaw, and smoked paprika crème fraiche; Grilled Haloumi Cheese with Greek olives, kumquat relish, and toasted pita; and New England Chips & Dip: baked smoked tomato and clam dip with sweet potato chips and breadsticks.


The panini press features the Hawaiian: black forest ham, mango chutney, pepper jack cheese, and grilled pineapple and the Roasted Tomato, Mushroom, and Cheese: mozzarella, tomato, and garlic confit with balsamic-marinated mushrooms and fresh basil.  All panini are served with a wild arugula and pasta salad.


The Boat House's signature plates include pan-seared Georges Bank Scallops with English pea-tasso ham risotto and blood orange gastrique; 'Nonni's Pasta': red chili rigatoni, Goglia's sweet Italian sausage, wild mushrooms, grilled spring onion; Gruyere-Parmesan cream, and anise breadcrumbs; and Free Range Statler Chicken Breast stuffed with prosciutto, fontina cheese, fregola sarda, roasted red pepper, black garlic aioli, and basil infused olive oil.


Grill selections feature an 8 oz Hereford Filet, 12 oz New York Sirloin, and an 8 oz dry rubbed Berkshire Pork Tenderloin with apple slaw and cranberry puree, all served with roasted red beet and garlic mashed potatoes and grilled spring vegetables.


A la carte side plates include: hand-cut sweet and russet potato fries; fregola sarda with roasted red peppers, wild mushrooms, and basil; grilled asparagus with red onion relish and black garlic aioli; and roasted garlic mashed potato.
